  Sultry Layers Kami Liddle 11-12:30 In this workshop we will focus on slowing down undulations and overlaying them with intricate arm work and strong upper body control. We will focus on posture, flexibility and power as we drill combinations and put them together to create a short choreography
  Poi Basics Portia 9:30- 11:00 Take your first step toward fire poi! Learn basic Maori poi ball technique: hand positioning and twirling. Class will cover a variety of movements with nonflammable poi balls which can later be incorporated into an exciting fire spinning routine. Practice poi balls will be available for purchase.
  Egyptian Pop Choreography Rahana 12:30-2 Learn a cute and playful choreography to one of today's contemporary Lebanese pop female vocalists, Nancy Ajram. Learn combinations that you can use in your own dance routines. This will be upbeat and fun so be prepared to have a good time.... Level - Intermediate. Handouts and music will be available
   Focus on Floor Work Kami Liddle 2-3:30 We will begin with strengthening exercises to help develop the stamina needed to execute effortless floor work. We will run through various floor movements and combinations where students will have the option to keep it simple or challenge themselves by adding more complex elements to the movements. We will end with a long stretching session. Kneepads are strongly recommended as well foot covers.
  Gypsy Drum Solo Jennifer 3:30-5:00 Learn a flirtatious and sassy gypsy flamenco drum solo that can help you add attitude and a new dimension to your drum solos. Workshop will include basic chorography which you can use in whole or in part in your own drum solo performances.

Conference of the Friends of Juniper Flats.  9am-6pm  More and more people are being adversely affected by off road motorcycles, quads and other vehicles creating hazardous conditions (dust, noise, fumes distress to animals & people) and disturbing the quiet that so many people hope to enjoy in their rural community.  Most of the disruptive OHV riding is illegal and the conference has been set up to address the issue.  Please note that parking on Saturday will cost $1.50 and the ticket machine only takes quarters.  Victor Valley College Activities Center, 18422 Bear Valley Rd, Victorville.
